Seafood Kalguksu Near Korean Folk Village: A Visit to 97°C Seafood Kalguksu in Yongin

If you’re looking for a meal near Korean Folk Village in Yongin, here’s a restaurant to keep in mind: 97°C Seafood Kalguksu, Korean Folk Village Branch.

I visited for seafood kalguksu—Korean knife-cut noodle soup—and had dumplings and a shrimp-and-chive pancake alongside it. Here’s a look at the food, menu prices, and practical details from my visit.

Finding the Restaurant

The restaurant is on the second floor, with a “97°C Seafood Kalguksu” sign on the outside of the building.

There is parking space in front of the building, and Kustom Coffee is on the ground floor. Parking availability may vary depending on when you visit.

Menu and Prices

These prices were displayed on the menu board and ordering screen during my visit.

Menu Item| Price
Seafood Kalguksu — per person| ₩13,000
Extra Scallops — 10 pieces, for seafood kalguksu| ₩5,000
Seafood Hot Pot — Medium, serves 2–3| ₩39,000
Seafood Hot Pot — Large| ₩55,000
Shrimp and Chive Pancake| ₩14,000

The seafood kalguksu price was marked as a promotional offer. The ordering screen also listed one complimentary Busan-style fish cake skewer with each serving.

The seafood hot pot came with an advertised offer of one complimentary portion of kalguksu noodles.

Prices, promotions, and included extras may change, so check the menu when you visit.

Orders can be placed using the touchscreen at the table. The screen shows menu photos and prices, making it easy to browse the options.

Seafood Kalguksu with Noodles Served Separately

The seafood kalguksu arrived as a pot of seafood broth with the noodles on a separate tray.

It’s cooked at the table, rather than arriving as a finished bowl of noodle soup. The wide pot contained shrimp, scallops, other shellfish, and fish cake skewers.

The close-up gives a better look at the ingredients. The seafood and fish cake skewers were served in a relatively clear broth rather than a red, chili-based soup.

If you enjoy both seafood and noodles, this is a combination worth considering. Follow the instructions at the table or ask the staff when to add the noodles and how long to cook them.

Dumplings on the Side

5,000 WON

We also had a plate of dumplings with our kalguksu.

Four dumplings were served on a tray with a separate dipping sauce. Adding a side dish like this gives everyone another option to share alongside the soup.

Shrimp and Chive Pancake

14,000 WON

The shrimp-and-chive pancake was particularly eye-catching.

Shrimp were dotted across the pancake, with plenty of chives visible throughout and golden-brown edges around the outside.

It came with scissors so we could cut it into smaller pieces to share. If you like having a Korean savory pancake alongside your noodles, this is another menu option to consider.

A Coffee Discount After Your Meal

During my visit, a sign advertised a discount for restaurant customers at Kustom Coffee downstairs.

Showing your same-day restaurant receipt entitled you to 10% off prepared beverages. The notice stated that the offer could not be combined with other discounts or coupons.

If you’re planning to have coffee after your meal, keep your receipt and check whether the promotion is still available.
